This is the one I'm looking at getting. It attaches to a tree or hangs on your boat.Made by Avery.

The two most important things I looked for when buying a dog stand were flexibility and versatility. I want to be able to move to where the ducks are. Often there is no tree in the area the ducks want to be. I have had had tree type dog stands and did not like them due to the limitations it put on me. Check out http://www.sportstand.net/. It is free standing and the height is adjustable. I got mine just before last season and used it most every time I went hunting.
Made mine out of galvanized pipe & plywood. Only problem is the weight. It's very heavy.
Thanks, will have to put brain to work. Don't want to pay that much, I think I can come out cheaper. Found old aluminum satelite, will try to work with this. Thanks again.

the bottom half of a deer climbing stand works good and it is light weight aluminum!

Thats what I use when hunting the swamp. I put a plywood bottom on it. I looked at war eagle's today and will use there hook up to the boat. They use the t-bolts and a chain. Thanks

I have a SportStand and it's very nice but it does'nt work on a boat. Got what works for your hunt style.
