Plenty of whales to be seen on/in the Congaree during the duck run. I'd hate to see one of those things get hit by a speeding john boat. You can also see beached whales on any given Sunday at the 601 sandbar.

Right whales can and will be inside of ten miles, but they ought to be further south this time of year...like Florida south. They're coast huggers...which hasn't really worked out well for them...
