One last question, could we line it up where I could pick it up same day? I'm from out of town so it would be difficult to drop it off and leave it.

Not really, but I will take your word for it. I don't know how all this works.

Even though I bought the hardware to delete them I have to purchase 2 credits every time I do the job.

So sometimes they run a special if you buy say 20 credits instead of two.

One last question...for real this time. I'm really thinking I need to do this. This delete isn't going to increase the sound of my engine is it? I like quiet. I don't want my truck sounding like I'm running cherry bombs.

I will reiterate want Kevin is saying. If you own a 2007 new body style and up and you don't delete the DOD/AFM for 200 bucks as soon as possible you are simply playing Russian Roulette with your motor and money. It's not if it will cause an issue it's when. My 2012 was in the shop twice in 54k miles. Do it spend the money and have piece of mind. The longer you wait the more damage is done.

Its GMCS answer to the federal government fuel regulations on MPGS. at certain speeds it shuts down 4 cylinders to achieve greater MPGs. Prob is it leaks oil into the cylinder amongst other things Kevin can expand on.

They knew you had DOD deleted and tried to blame it on that. Get me the Pcode #

Funny, several people told me fuel mileage went up.

I bought a '13 in the middle of 2013 and a buddy of mine bought a '14 at the end of 2013. I don't know what the difference is, but his truck gets about 3 to 4 more miles to the gallon than mine. My '13 gets like 16 - 17 mpg's. That ain't too good. I don't want to make it worse.

I have an 08 with 90,000 miles. Am I already screwed, or can I get the delete and be good to go?

KRT out of curiosity, does the 6.0 liter motor have the same issue? I don't know anyone personally with the 6.0 so I have not heard first hand.
