    In order of my preference....
Coopers store (Salters) I prefer the Bologna Sandwich
    WT Owens (Pleasant Hill)
    Santee Grocery(Gourdin)
    Ice House (Georgetown)

Ice house hot dogs are a 530am staple at the shop before a duck hunt....

There are good hotdogs all over the place. To name a few in no particular order. Drakes Duck'in on Main in Cola, The Station in Cameron, Steamers in Clinton, Hole 19 at CCC used to have a good one when I was a kid, Dutchmans Creek Marina....

I used to get those dogs and chili from Addy's store at hwy 34 and hwy702. You can still get that chili around Ninety Six.
Dad has the recipe and he makes a batch about once per year. I have some in the freezer now!

Matter of fact he's been dead since 2002. Back around 1993 I was coming home from hunting one cold mid-morning and saw an old man on the side of the road. His car was broke down so I stopped. Turns out it was Mr. Smith. I helped him get his car started (loose battery cable) and followed him home to make sure he got there. He thanked me over and over and then told his wife to give me a copy of his famous chili. I told him he didn't have to do that but he insisted. I still have the recipe in his wife's handwriting. That was better than gold to me because I loved eating his hot dogs growing up. Every time dad and I went to Buzzard Roost to fish for stripers we stopped and got hot dogs at Smith's.

For an idea of what his chili was like, it doesn't have chili powder in it. I'll give you part of the recipe, but not the secret ingredients.

    1lb ground beef
    1lb mild sausage
    1lb diced potatoes.

The rest if for y'all to figure out.
