9 month chewing on paws?

my 9 month old yellow is constantly chewing on his paws,sometimes it looks like he is chewing on nails and other hes digging deep in between pads..

any ideas on why?or what i need to do..

of course if he keeps it up ill take him to the vet.

Wash his run out more often, he's trying to get at the shit between his toes.

Could be due to skin alergies. Very common in the summer.
