thanks everyone. I didn't start this thread to boast. I just hoped that I could help encourage others that may have access to somewhere like this.

we will see if the effort was worth it.. I will be sure to update the thread later on

That is exactly how I started out and then it was on to trackhoes and bulldozers. More fun in it than pulling a trigger any day. Great job. Pay attention to what you put on the net...

Are any ducks using the millet yet? I've got a good stand but the ducks don't seem to want to mess with it right now. They are all on the creeks eating acorns.

I think I mentioned in my post I have already hunted it 2th. Are you ever in a good mood?

I have given thought to this though. I only plan on hunting it a few times this season. Ducks were already here before. And it's already been hunted before. So, why would they all leave now?

Wow man that spot reminds me of my honey hole. I only hunt mine twice and the ducks keep pouring in every year. I really need to add a drain like you did. Great work brother.

I've got a beaver pond identical to this, and have been trying to figure out a method to tackle all of the vegetation.

That looks great. I wish that crazy fella Benny was still on here to give his input. He had a great thread about water control and planting holes like this. I'm gonna put some pressure on a friend to tackle his beaver pond.
