If you are really serious then a Duraburb as mentioned above is the obvious choice. They are stupid expensive, but are pretty bad ass.

Otherwise, get a 2500 gas suburban.

Used Excursions are out there, but they are not cheap and are 10+ years old at this point.

I have a 2004 f250 with the 6.0L and camper top. Great motor if you get it set up right. Head studs, EGR delete etc. if I were you I would look at the 2005 6.0L excursion from a private seller who you can trust. Look for mileage under 200K.

This guy has a ton of good videos about buying a used ford. Wish I had investigated more before I bought mine from a dealer but still very happy with my rig.

Also, pre 05 you're looking at leaf springs and in 05 they went to the coil overs so it would provide a better ride for your family and you.

I have a good friend who is about to unload a 7.3 Excursion with 223k I think. Nothing wrong, he's just tired of driving it and wants something new, with new gadgets/gizmos. Well maintained, good condition. I can give you info if needed.

6.0 GAS will do what you want with less cost to maintain it. The Ford will do the same thing. HP=Fuel burn

I'm in love. I don't have it like that, though. If i did.......

This will become the standard in diesel 4x4 vans as it has in 2wd vans. Brand new for 2015 if I am not mistaken. I have wanted to buy one of these 2wd for myself. The diesel gets 25mpg and all the room in the world. A friend has the Airstream conversion version (think $100k) and it is awesome. I was thinking more of the Autotrader $10k version though. MG

My friend's Sprinter Airstream that he uses to pull his MX rig with.

Just stumbled across this on craigslist. Might be worth taking a look at.

He needs to air down those tires! That said, pretty sweet ride.

SUV and big motors went out with 3.50 gas prices. Toyota needs to put a v8 in their 4runners. Chevy needs to put 6.0s in their tahoes. Finally when gas prices go down. The pussification of vehicles goes up
