    Default Deer closure

If you want to hunt deer in the near future, do it Wednesday AM or it may be a while.

I just received notification that SCDNR is temporarily closing all game hunting until further notice due to flood waters rising. I will forward additional data as available. This will impact 20 coastal counties and into the midlands of South Carolina. I think it will start at noon tomorrow.

You stated "all game hunting". So no dove shoots Saturday?

We may need to keep asking this. DT may not check in until tomorrow and by then this thread will be 20 pages long with all the "they can't stop me" crowd and the "it's the best thing to do" crowd.
I could see DNR including all hunting because officers are tied up with help/rescue etc. Not that I agree with that reasoning but could see them doing this for that reason.

I questioned the same thing. I would assume it was big game hunting and Rep Kirby's Facebook page is wrong. I copied that sentence from his page.

How long? Shit, right now we can't get into the club to assess the damage. Will it open again? Will the season extend past Jan. 1 for the length closed? People paid for tags, licenses, WMA permits and hunt club dues, the state and you folks in the legislature going to reimburse us the money we'd be out? Y'all going to pay the taxidermists and processors on lost income? Just a few things you folks need to clear up with any action taken.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
