I'd be interested to know what all you did, KRT. One of these days I'm gonna have you rebuild the front end in my '00 Silverado.

I would like to hear what you did as well. I have an 11 year old dodge with the same miles that I want to drive until the wheels fall off

The most looked over stuff on any vehicle is the simple maintenance. For example, when is the last time you serviced your differentials? Think about how many times you backed down a boat ramp and submerged the rear one..... Fuel filters get over looked quite often as well.
JAB's truck:
Serviced front and rear diffs
Serviced transfer case
Serviced transmission
Changed belts
Replaced worn suspension components
Changed oil and filter
Replaced hydraulic belt tensioners
Replaced wipers
Replaced air filter
Changed fuel filter
Flushed fuel injectors
Removed air boot and cleaned throttle body
Replaced spark plugs
Pressure washed underneath on outside lift
I'm sure I'm missing something but some of you should consider doing this stuff....especially on older higher mileage vehicles

More fuel = more boost!!
I know my AC filters need replacing... bad

No blinker fluid?
It's like I upgraded to stealth. The only drawback so far is that I nearly crashed coming out of his joint because the hesitation between gas pedal and GO is no longer there...
There needs to be a KRT North....

Did jab get kick ass visors?

Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
JAB got no visors, hats, or any other accouterments. Got to help a man keep his overhead down boys...
Talk to me about this. I've had this issue with mine for a few years where I have to cycle the key a few times (run the fuel pump) to get it to crank. I've done everything on that list except clean the throttle body and flush the fuel injectors. I have changed the fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, plugs and wires, etc. Any ideas on what to check?
I would have already brought it in to you, but I've been living in NC for the past few years and now I'm back in Charleston. Once I get a little extra cash I'm absolutely going to have you rebuild this front end.
Sounds like a fuel issue. Sounds like the fuel is bleeding back into the tank. It would be a fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator. I know you have already replaced them but... The way to check would be put a fuel pressure gauge on it and monitor how long it takes the gauge to "bleed" down to zero after engine is cut off.
IF
all thats ok, I'd start with a crank sensor.
More fuel = more boost!!
That's my line of thinking, too. It's gotta be fuel pressure leaking down somewhere. If I cycle the key 3 times it'll start right up. My understanding is these fuel injected motors need 50+psi on the fuel rails, and it should stay that way even if it sits fora month. I've checked everythingi know to, but I haven't changed the pump yet. Actually I did about 100k miles ago. I'm gonna pick up a pressure gauge. Looks like a Schrader valve on one of the rails that I could tap into.
Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.
