Yeah, I have too. And I watched a mating pair of canvasbacks live on the spoil island in Cherry Grove for several years when I was a kid. I know there are some green wings here, now. But that's not really the point.

Certainly won't be a tamie pond.

I just want the pond boom to surround Marion and Moultrie.
It would do wonders for the entire state.
A centrally located waterfowl mecca added to the ACE and Delta and we've got ourselves something.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

I really want to, i keep saying this year. I really want to kill one on public water in this state though. I'll give it one more year, then I'm just going to pay someone, somewhere.

I've heard otherwise in regards to a "holding pond" being constructed as well. A holding pond larger than a lot of ponds themselves...
    Just hear-say as I don't know...

There are several big impoundments in the area that are not release operations. I can think of several hundred acres of flooded grain that is all "wild".
    U serious Clark?

I was told that the large 100 acre pond will be used as a refuge/holding pond with hunting in 2 smaller ponds roughly 30 acres in size. With a holding pond that size birds want have to move far out toward open public waters. All the rubberheaded skybuster won't benefit much.

I have killed a few gross. My first was out of a layout boat in St Helena Sound. He came straight in like we were giving out free pussy.

My favorite was at Two Rivers. He circled us for 3 damn mornings before he finally screwed up...
