What Bog said...put on a coat and tie and go to Rue de Jean, Halls, Amen Street, 225, The Peninsula, etc...they are all good food

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Last year I had a horrible experience there. I have a set of meetings every year this time down on isle of palms.

I had already scratched shem off. I use to love going there. I had a blast, but they treated my employees like crap and the food wasn't all that good!

I'd love to know they have come back. I'd give them a second chance!

For "snob food" there have been some great places noted - add Husk, McCrady's, and FIG. We also enjoy " The Ordinary"

    Rue de Jean

Good food! I just feel like I need to have been at the Huguenot church prior to eating there!

If u go to halls you will be walking out with a 100 bill easy but it's good food. Fleets landing is an awesome sea food that won't break you

Also had a less-than-standard experience there last time.

Marina Variety Store and Restaurant on the Ashley River is a nice place to eat. Its small, nothing fancy but the food is good and the prices are fair. May not be the place to go for a honeymoon meal, but not a bad place and has a nice view overlooking the river.

It's your wedding we're speaking of. Take a shower, clean cut shave or beard trim, deodorant, put on nice clothes including a belt, make reservations at Halls, tell them of the occasion, they'll treat you and your wife as a decent American tax paying male and his new bride should be treated, drink good liquor, eat a nice dry aged steak, drink good liquor, spend the couple hundred dollars that it was worth, enjoy honeymoon.

Thanks fellas. I think we will look into halls. No honeymoon at this time. I'll be coming back home Thursday to close on our first house. It's a big week.
