Yes, Cali, I see your point. But y'all are missing MY point. I am NOT going to live my life in fear. I can beat you up with stats if you wish. Its like parents telling me their kids NEED a cell phone for SAFETY when the numbers paint a different picture.

Again, I'm glad I have you people to start (read: finish) the shootout in the movie theater for me. I'll be finishing my popcorn and screaming like a girl.
Stats put together by liberals with an anti-gun agenda. Just like or JAB in the sports forum, you can be selective and make stats fit your agenda.

Why would you be in fear if you were carrying a gun. Why should you fear, Hell, you got a gun.

In a brief nutshell, as you go through your day, mentally rehearse how you would react if the situation developed into a deadly force situation. For instance, walking across a parking lot and a person is walking towards you. Mentally visualize what you would do if he (or she...) suddenly tried to rob you. Actually visualize the whole event, from drawing, engaging (visualize the sight picture), moving, where's cover?, what do I do if I miss? Where do I move to? Visualize the event all the way through threat elimination and into the aftermath.

This is harmless to the world around you, but will make your decision making and responsiveness to a deadly force scenario much quicker if it actually happens (even in a situation that you did NOT visualize).

And NEVER visualize a scenario in which you lose.

It also helps you identify the threats in your environment simply because it elevates your awareness. Awareness is the key to avoidance.
