    Yea.

A lot of folks who weren't in service think every one in the military is like

    When in reality they're mostly

I don't know what the Army teaches for pistol marksmanship currently, but I know my training consisted of "Hey PFC <Mobetter>, you gowin to the M-9 range tamarrah".

Don't get me wrong, all branches have some fo' real badass operators that do real work.

But for every real-deal Holyfield trigger puller, there are a hundred dipshits that are more than capable of shooting themselves while practicing finger twirls.

Yep. I worked at the recreational range at ft Jackson in the 80s and some of the stupid shit I saw service members do would make your hair curl.

One of my scariest days in the military, was when I was a range safety for qualification.

Damn if I could find it now to save my life. I worked at heise pond during deer season and just filled in at the range a few times. That would have been in 1986

    That's right. My bad.

I did the majority of my hunting on Fort Jackson from 1978 to 1984 as a military dependent. I knew every spot that held wood ducks and made a circuit of them. I think I was one of two or three that hunted ducks on post.

They have a new one now on golden arrow rd now. I rifle hunted Jackson a good bit in the late 90's then bow hunted the contonment areas after that.
