Default Big Fire in Greenville Area?

What is/was the big fire up off I85 in Greenville/Greer area this morning around 10-10:30am?

My wife was headed up I85 to Exit 42 and called and said the fire was huge, but she wasn't close enough to tell what was happening. I've checked TV and online and can't find any info on it.

I saw a rather large flame just over the tree tops on the south bound side of 85 around that area where the boat dealership is a few weeks back. All flame and no smoke. I was wondering the same and figured it had to be something like that.

If I'd seen it myself I might have figured it out, but her description came in three static filled dropped cell calls that always seems to happen right there around exit 41-45 or so.

    Thanks for the info.

There's been a sign where hwy 20 crosses White Horse Rd. (Exit 44) that says there will be controlled burning in that area. What in God's name is being burned in the middle of that ghetto I have no clue, but that would be my guess.

Natural gas burn off right there on white horse. Something about they have to burn it off to work on the lines.

Maybe they're hoping the controlled burn gets out of control?

Wouldn't do any good, its all Mexicans. They'd just all move in to whichever single wide was still standing.

Hey now, After having watched Disney's Macfarland and seen the struggle of all Hispanic people living in America, I take offense to that. Me, Mr. Whitey, will now take up their plight as my own. Free cerveza and walmart gift cards for all illegal immigrants of the mexican background.

Someone will be along shortly to call all youns racist!

It's funny that if you had replaced "Mexians" with "black folks", you'd be labeled a racist and been given the ban hammer.

You know good and damn'd well what I meant.

Truthfully, it's the context in which you use it.

My point was that some racism around here is not tolerated while other much more blatant and equally as disrespectful is ignored altogether.
