True, that was impressive. A visor is nice but i will take a Lexus loaner instead.

Same thing with the engine consuming oil between changes? I bought an 2011 last year with about 17K on it and now up to 44K, it's using about 1.5 quarts between changes. How long would it take for you to 'fix' it?

So it's like a rewards program? Each $1000 we get something different? $2k, $3k, $4k etc? Does it roll over annually?

    KRT,

I just picked up a Range AFM delete last week (figures, doesn't it?). Haven't installed it yet. What else does your mod entail besides deleting AFM?

    The delete...about an hour

Your oil consumption is because of AFM/DOD

It gets rid of torque management. Basically torque management is where the computer retards timing between shifts so the shift is smooth. The tune improves transmission shifting and it tweaks the engine timing a little.

Is a 2013 Tahoe susceptible to this condition?

    Bean made me laugh.

Thanks for the heads up Kevin! My father in law has that motor. I might get him to come see you.

Maybe that explains GM dropping the milage warranty down to 70,000 powertrain in 2016.

Technically if they dug into and saw it turned off yes they could be an ass. Come back and see me and I'll turn it on for your trip to the dealer.

I have a buick here that was at the dealer for 3 months. No start condition. After a starter, battery, park neutral safety switch and 2300.00 later he towed to me. Tommy fixed it within an hour. Bad transmission module. Car thought it was in drive so it wouldn't start. Moral of story, the dealer has some dumbasses working there.
