Okay so I've been hunting the past two or three years with two particular guns, an 870 express 12 GA. and 20 GA., I must be all about oil conservation because i've never oiled or kept good care of either. Now as you all may know, when you take the camo tape off of a gun, it is not a pretty site, at least in my case, and on top of all the sticky stuff everywhere there is a good amount of rust. I was wondering if anyone could make some suggestions of what i need to cleen it all off with to get my guns looking in decent shape. I thought i might could try carburator cleaner or choke cleaner, but i dont know what it might do to the finish. Any help wilol be greatly appreciated.

You can use acyrsol to remove the glue, It is safe on alot of stuff. It may help in the rust also. You can by it at places like napa, or your local auto supply store. Good luck!!!
You\'ll have that... especially on them big jobs...
