found its twin this Saturday. The quartz has some inclusion. Yellow inclusion may be a flake of gold or pyrite?

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

Found this one today in my dove field. Been finding a lot of broken ones lately. First whole one in awhile.
Found these three in my yard in the last few weeks. 3” shell for reference. Largest was in a wash in the garden, laying right on top. Middle one I found after I pushed up 1” of soil on the edge of the yard with the skid steer to let the kids look for fishing worms. Smallest I spotted after a pass with the tiller in my 2nd garden. It’s beveled on both edges. Anyone tell me anything about them? Lower Edgefield County, as the crow flys maybe 12 miles from Savannah River. Also found a 6” sandstone spear head a few years back on this hill. The variety of materials and shapes are interesting to me.

Picked these up in S TX in January.
Unusually heavy rain for that area made some treasures pop up in a Caliche pit.
Left a bunch more for someone else to pick up.

Just Damn.
Nice find Nitro! Very nice.
Yup, he's crazy...
like a fox. The dude may be coming in a little too hard and crazy but 90% of everything he says is correct.
Sort of like Toof. But way smarter.

According to the old Texas Ranger that manages this ranch, his studies showed that there were multiple Indian tribes at various times that inhabited the region including - Apache, Comanche, Caddo, Coahulitecan and the Karankawas.. perhaps others.
Not sure what tribes made these, but they are pretty cool. Left literally hundreds more for the ranch owners kids to gather.

Saltmuck, I'd say those are Savannah River, Morrow Mountain, and Kirk Corner Notched points from left to right. Kirk is the oldest, 7-8000 years old. You're on a good spot.
Some of Nitro's look like a cache of preforms. TX Indians had it a lot easier with that quality material.
Unless it was a small triangular point not much bigger than your thumbnail, most all arrowheads were spearheads (not used on bow and arrow) and predate the white man's concept of named tribes by thousands of years. Bows and arrows, agriculture, named tribes, religions, villages, etc didn't come around until about the time Jesus was on the other side of the world.
Thanks WNM! Took lil man today for a creek walk after the post. I spotted and let him discover 2 almost identical points. Dude thinks he’s Indiana Jones now.

Great stuff. Nothing like being the first to hold a rock in thousands of years. I’d imagine I was grinning just like that when I found my first (and when I’ve found every one since)
