    Default Crawfishin'

Anybody been yet? I spotted one in my crawfish hole the other day and one of the catfish we cleaned this weekend had a lobster in his gut. Might have to soak a prospect pot very soon..

Are yall catching these crawfish on public water or in private ponds stocked for crawfish? I've never heard of any crawfishing in sc. Are these like your common brownish grey crawdads you catch in creeks when flipping over rocks?

Remember to save some for that same spot at our duck marsh. The garden has potatoes planted now, most is about ready to start planting. The beer for a year is up there, i cannot make it back up to the office today.

Those don't look like the crawdads I'm used to seeing! Are they native to sc? Looks like the ones they catch in Louisiana.

Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

Wrong! You must be a city boy.

One side of my family has been in the upstate for a few hundred years, the other side has been in NC, north Georgia and Tennessee for thousands of years. Both sides eat crawfish. I put out traps most years, my daddy got me started when I was a kid and I'm 61 years old. You just gotta know where and how to find the big ones.

What do you expect from a lint head!

This is what my daughter wanted for her 8th birthday meal last year.

I understand that crawdads are in the vicinity of the bait while they are in the trap in the water, but that water is flowing. I'm not sure I would place them in a cooler, with the bait, and some water to make stank bait soup though. I sure as hell don't do that with crabs. To each his own I guess.

Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

People who don't eat crawfish are suspect.
