Any of yall going to the weigh-in and/or the expo? I have a buddy who's uncle is fishing in it and he said this will probably be the coldest one ever. 9 degrees at take off Friday morning plus the swift breeze of going 70 mph down the lake might make for some pretty chilly conditions.

I so want to go. Do yall guess at weights of fish like the deer threads in here? Shhh, don't tell me, I know y'all do. Do y'all follow them around in boats, like crazed sports forum people. " nice cast Billy, you overthrew the fish asshole".

haha...I'm not much on following a guy around while he's fishing but I went to the weigh-in back in 08' and it was pretty cool. Got some free stuff so that's always cool.

Look for the spotted bass sacks to dominate this one.

I went to a megabucks, i guess that's what it was. It was at the fairgrounds years ago. The guy with me was rabid calling out weights and such.

We went to the expo and the weigh in in 08 also. Expo was cool, seeing all the new things companies came out with. The weigh in was ok, it was good when they were actually doing something, but it was just a little drug out if you ask me.

I figure they'll come into play, but I don't think it will be won with only spots. Ashley won the FLW last year and only weighed in 2 or 3 spots the whole tourney.

I got talked into doing the peanut gallery thing in 2004 when they were on Wylie. It was actually more fun that I would have imagined. Aaron Martens came in second and never cranked the big motor - he fished at the Buster Boyd bridge all three days.

I think catdaddy makes you look like bush league when it comes to bass
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

Been to two. One on Wylie and one on Hartwell. Expos are where it's at. Love walking around and seeing what's out there. Never who you'll run into. Jimmy Houston is a hound dog so keep your ladies close.

That sounds just like the Masters.

All those visor idiots trying to get downwind of Tiger hoping he will fart so they can smell it.

And for God's sakes don't make any noise while them boys are putting or driving. Takes a hell of a lot of concentration to hit a white ball with a stick!

The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.

I may ride around some sat morning and watch them.
The most interesting thing would be to watch what goes on at the ramp tomorrow and Fri morning after all the water freezes from putting the boats in.

Went to the 93 classic weigh in in Birmingham, AL. Been to quite a few BFL weigh ins and a few FLW's (son's fishing the tour). Never followed in a boat, but the competition is like any other: turkey calling, duck calling, golf, etc. the people putting the event on are trying to get the most people that are interested in that sport to attend. Fishing is difficult to turn into a spectator sport.
