Music in general, or a specific type? because that will make a difference

i gothca, well this isn't probably what your looking for but you might enjoy these sites.

I use Internet Archive to download, listen to a good bit of live, older country, rock, etc. It only has artist that gave the rights for the site to use them and most are recordings from a person’s high quality recorder.

Again, another one that probably wont help, but is pretty neat is Panic Stream, it has a Misc. Artist section with a good bit of live shows from various people, even goes way back and has a good bit of old cash, haggard, Jennings stuff. I’ll put the links below:

panic streams good if you're into that sort of stuff. grooveshark is good for streaming just about anything. as far as downloading music to put onto an iPod or something like that, buy it. anything else is a guaranteed way to get your computer to crash.

MP3million is the sight we use. Not free but they will match the amount of money you put in the account. Put $50 in got $100 worth. 9 cents a song. Been using them for three years still have over 40 left in the account.
