Thanks for sharing, I'm jealous of your bag and more jealous of your hunt.

Fucking hypocrites, the lot of you, with your fucking assumptions of what someone may do if you pass on some knowledge. Go choke on your ego and fucking die.
Nice response. Let me tell you, all it takes is a little interest. I hunted Woodcock for many, many years without bumping into another woodcock hunter. I learned quickly, that all it took was me talking about hunting them, which peaked people's interest. Next thing i know they wanted to go an even started on there own. I am telling you there are not enough to go around. Socialistic hunting ruins it for everyone.

P.S. don't you ever notice all the inquisitive newbies every time a Timberdoodle pic is posted. Are you that naive, as to what is happening. Oh wait, you are the monkey see monkey do...........newbie

You are right. We should never help a new guy out. I just hope no one learns how to do it and it dies out when I do. Selfish son of a bitches.

I see what you are saying trust me I do. I just get tired of everyone being such a dick about someone learning something new in the outdoors. I always say instead of worrying about everyone else just learn to hunt better than they do. Didn't mean to come off as a dick which I am sure I did.

Show some initiative. Read a book. It's not hard to learn how to hunt anything. I learned the hard way. Why does everyone today, feel entitled to receiving knowledge on a silver platter like you have a right to it? Learn and gain some appreciation.

You don't need someone to hold your hand.

Being better is no good, when all the land gets used up by rubberheads. KNOW DAT.

I enjoy sharing what I've learned over the years with other hunters.

    Usually takes about 10 minutes.......

The Internet is too public a medium for teaching folks to take advantage of the outdoors. Help people one on one. The Internet is akin to putting up a billboard on the interstate. You are likely helping people that you really don't want out there anyway.

90 percent of the lackies that think they may want to hunt timber doodles wouldn't know where to find them much less endeavor to hunt that terrain and likely to never hit one if they flushed!

This is very true. I was lucky enough that my dad hunted them and could teach me the right way.

I think I'm going to start hunting them now just because one asshole doesn't think anyone else should. I've seen quite a few at my club

I killed my first woodcock thanks to BRR about 15 years ago. He is not bad guy he is just trying to protect one of the few things the internet and rubberheads have not ruined yet. Sure hope woodcock hunting doesn't end up like duck hunting is now compared to then.
