No wonder we aren't killing shit right now...

Haven't had a push of any fresh birds in over 3 weeks. 70 degrees and zero wind with stale birds will make you want to punch a puppy...

Decided to change gears and go jump shoot a little off the grid spot I found years ago. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1418000750.956083.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1418000764.522367.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1418000789.038108.jpg

That pheasant has the longest tail of anyone I've ever shot. Damn near 28 inches the same length as my barrel.

I don't know much about Idaho, but this doesn't look like summer duck habitat

They like Russian olive trees in small little creeks out here. If you have trees that hang over the water they tuck inside and eat the berries. Like I said you have to know how to find them.

They were a novelty 25 years ago. Now if you're a duck hunter that wants a wood duck, you just shift gears and go kill them. I have a marsh about a mile from my house that has 30 or so on it. May before the season goes out shoot a 7 bird woody limit. That will probably make decent pic and dinner.

Keep scaring those mallards this way, we shot our ducks today but only 2 were mallards.

Solid work man. Amazing what dead duck pictures will do to make pissed off rednecks love you
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

10 minute limit. Was over way to fast. Landed groups of 40-50 and didn't even shoot at them. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1418057698.086687.jpg

The hens were collateral damage. Shot a drake and two hens fall behind him.

If all goes to plan and my scouting pays off there should be 21 more dead one tomorrow. That's one thing I love about the northwest states, most duck hunters are lazy just because of the amount of birds and don't take the extra time to find the X. When I lived here I felt myself sometimes slip but after being in SC my drive and hunger is worse than ever to find that magic spot.
