    Good eats right there.

Skybusting, or the art of trying to magically propel steel shot 100 yards into the air at a passing duck, is a sure-fire way to ruin your own chances, and everyone else’s chances, at actually killing a duck.

I wouldn't exactly say that those are coastal ruddies either. Look at the grass in the water. Those are fresh water ruddies. They do eat good but they're a pain to clean. The skin sticks to the meat pretty well and you literally end up skinning them. There's also not much meat per bird which is surprising for how round and butter ballish looking that they are!
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL

Either way if I had a full layout boat setup I wouldn't be killing ruddies in South Carolina. Hell give me that boat and two hours to string a monster gang line and lots of big ducks will die.

Hey Ruddywacker, honest question.......Are y'all going to eat those ducks? Just curious.

I mean IF I set up layouts and a few hundred decoys and ruddys were all that few I can't say I wouldn't kill at least a few

Don't hate on em cut'em. You ain't been here long enough. Just in case you hadn't picked up on it yet, shooting a 6 duck limit on public water in SC ain't an everyday occurrence.

    Good hunt fellers.

Y'all turn your nose up at ruddy ducks. Ain't nothing wrong with 'em. I've never gone specifically chasing them, but if they're what's flying that day I'll kill and eat em just like the rest.
