    Default Duracraft Boats

I have owned a few of them, but thought they had gone out of business. Looks like Team Ward (War Eagle) must have bought them out.

I have a 1548 and like it. The one before it was a 1519. Great boats. I do want to get some mods done on this boat, though.

Good boats but if you buy used, stay away from anything from the late 80's to early 90's.......if it has been used or you plan on using it in salt water. Back then when the Ward boys had it, it was a crap shoot as to which alloy they used. Some alloys would powder up in a few years in the salt. I have several friends who had this problem.
If it ain\'t accurate at long distance, then the fact that it is flat shooting is meaningless.

I am riding up to Newberry tomorrow to look at the Excel F4, a Triton and an Alweld.
Anyone know anything about the dealer there, good or bad? Muddy Bay Marine

Do some searching on this site unless the thread has been deleted, but from my recollection of the thread it wasn't good.

I drove 2 and a half hours there, put my hands on a max 4 excel viper f4 and told him this is the one I want. We went inside and I picked out all the options, he gave me a great price... Went back home and straight to the bank got the check. Called him to set it up I would be back in 3 days to get it..... Drove all the way back up there and he had rigged a plain jane excel f4 up......I raised hell with him and told him that's not the boat it didn't have the motor kick up, no livewell, no camo, bottom end f4..... Needless to say I didn't do any buisness with him and I never will..... I went to marshalls marine and have no complaints at all........ Steer clear of muddy bay

I bought my Xpress from Marshall's. I was very pleased with the customer service there.
