    I think they are pretty birds. Cool looking wing feathers on them and they make a nice mount, but man do they reek almost worse than a comorant

    Haha buddy of mine makes goose jerky and we tried doing a mergie last year and turned out alright. I was raised to eat what you kill.

    Maybe its just me I've cooked several over the years and most of the time its tolerable. Nothing really good but not that bad.

    Best way to cook a goose? Buttermilk and garlic for a week in the fridge then wrap in bacon and grill.
