    that is just from hitting it with the wire brush, salt water did the digging. Looks like he might have been fishing in the salt and forgot to rinse the inside of the boat out when he put it back under the shed.

    That wasn't caused by salt alone. Most likely had some electrical current running through it. Murray had some issues several years back with what they sprayed the hydrilla with pitting aluminum like that too.
