I noticed it first hand my self yesterday , paddled out in my kayak to the rice field , threw out a few decoys and settled in. About one hour later i heard there voices over the noise of the surface drive motor , " there some ducks" , so they start running circles around the rice field so there buddies can start shooting at the mile high birds. Guess it was time to go.

The second season is when you get your peace and quiet. I guess it gets too cold for all the "duck dynasty" boys.

If you can't kill more ducks than someone who learned to duck hunt from duck dynasty and their frat bros well........you might not be Great White Hunter that you fancy yourself to be. The cats that I know in this state that kill ducks year in and year out, they don't whine about frat boys.

Well said. I was cut off from ducks by sky busters and still enjoyed the hunt. Did kill crap but enjoyed what the lord blessed me with. Hasn't stopped me before and isn't now.

I can completely agree...it's definitely not gonna stop me...my favorite part is watching the world wake up...enjoying the blessings that we have...it'd just me nice to not have to leave at 12..1..2 in the morning just to hold a decent spot without someone sitting on top of you..

You know you can launch a boat 365 days a year to "watch the world wake up"?

I hunt to kill ducks, screw fellowship and sunrises. Shit is overrated.

As do I. Fellowship and sunrises is what it's all about. Killing a duck is a bonus.

Sprig hit a line drive to you.......

But it was just a hair to high for you.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
