Default 1989 Yamaha 30 SF Tiller handle and bracket?

While hunting today my tiller handle snapped and broke cleanly off from the bracket and bush. It's still connected but wanted to know if a very good weld would fix it or is it smart just to get a new one.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.
I had the same thing happen years ago. It's cheap pot metal and won't hold a weld very well, and will continue to break. That or I simply can't weld the material that well.

I bought a new one after breaking the weld twice.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Well if you need it, make an offer..... It's in my garage. In like new condition. Came off a 2002 motor with probably 5 hours on it.

A good welder can weld it back together. I did the same to my merc last year and had my fathers best friend weld it. Has held up and I am not easy on my motor. He is in Round-O if you need it done. Pm me and I'll get you his Number.
