    Default Any TV guys here

Sitting here watching TV (Samsung plasma) and all of the sudden here a loud pop and the picture goes dark. Sound went away as well. The power light is now flashing red and won't do anything.

I googled the problem and got various answers. Any ideas?

You should have been in bed. It's hunting season. It was a sign to you.

I'm only allowed to go hunting once a week now. I used it yesterday afternoon. That stupid loud jacket I put in the trading post cost me a fat nanny

B, smell around the tv for that signature electrical burn aroma. If you get a whiff of it, that thing's toast. Perfect timing though. Black Friday is the best time to buy and it's only a few days away. We got our last one from BestBuy.com on BF and had it delivered to the house and installed for free. Hard to beat that deal!

I bet you can fix it yourself cheaper than the 250. Tons of videos on the net on how to fix these things. Find out ed Zackly whats is wrong and google it.

The blinking red light is a code that will tell you what is wrong, count how many times it blinks 2-3-4 whatever and do some google searches on it. All else call Samsung and talk to tech support, could be under warranty still.

Well, look up your model number and "mainboard" and you'll see a plethora of options.

Last one I picked up was a refurbished one on ebay for $25 shipped, though ymmv
