Man what a night . Its one i will never forget ... After waiting 6 years and accumulating 5 preference points I finally got drawn for the middle coastal... This was my first gator and only my second trip out hunting.

The odds were against us with the cold front, rain, and it being high tide but we stuck this pig with the harpoon around 2:30am. Final tally was 11'2" and 400lbs on the dot..

He also had some damage to his snout. Not sure if he was in a fight or if a boat prop got him but it sure is gonna look cool as a head mount

Not sure he had some damage there. Taxidermist thinks a boat prop got him...

Nice gator! His head looks like the body should be double the size it is.

How long did it take to get him in the boat?

He was dead within 30 min of the time we harpooned him. It took us about the same amount of time to load him.. Key West boats were never meant to load a 400lb gator over the side...

Nice! Big head on him for sure. Good luck getting the blood off that white floor.
