    Default Deadlift PR

It was about a year ago when I began my crossfit journey. I the past, I strictly went to the gym to lift weights. I had tried 405# on bench press several times and failed, I was burnt out. I knew I needed to get some cardio in my life, so I took the plunge. Tuesday's workout was a grinder (30-20-10 of thruters, HRPS, and DL after doing eccentric PU and squats), so Wednesday I decided I would work on some strength. I got warmed up on some DL and decided today was the day I was going to get 500#. I am not usually the one to brag about PRs or post videos of them on my FB page. Well I got it, and it felt good!

Crossfit has been a good combination of strength and cardio for me. I feel better and stronger than I ever did when I was strictly lifting weights.

Congrats on achieving your goal. I'm chasing 400, currently. Getting close, I think, haven't hit a 1 RM in a while, but the 3 RM has jumped up.

That's awesome! I have been chasing the big 500# myself. Maybe one day..

and 405# on bench is big too. Keep at it.

Fine work. A 500# deadlift is something to be proud of for sure.

500 does not feel good, no matter how you train.

Good work, welcome to the 1/4 ton club!
