    I wouldn't need a real big blade but a ten foot handle wouldn't be long enough for me.

    .22 is minimum, .40 will do, .357 is better still.
    Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

    I received this as a gift last year. Its ok. Nothing to write home about.

    But mainly I use an old KABAR that was passed on to me from my grandfather. It has a 7 inch blade.

    I'm no expert. But I just prefer something light and not too bulky that would get hung up on briars or vines....

    6-7 inch blade is good. Pocket knife works too.

    I personally use the cold steel OSS. Double edge with 7.5 inch blade.
