I like the pre-made casserole ideas. My daughter and I are working on our "LuDad's Seasoning Mix" that we make by hand. It has a little salt and a lot of pepper with some citrus notes and spice. Look for it in stores soon. We put it on everything from scrambled eggs to steak. It will work well in that breakfast casserole. We aspire to make other versions for fish, chicken, etc but our "original" LuDad's is some good stuff....

I like Sweet Tater hashbrowns, eggs, meat, vegetables, bananas, avocado, nuts, and/or berries. Maybe some brown rice, if you must. Protein in the way of meat and nuts, whole milk, etc. I'd opt for quality carbs over bread, they just last longer. Carb load the night before.
And, like a broken record, Hydrate!
Whole Milk and two a days makes me want to puke just thinking about that..
Of course, kids these days don't do "log rolls" or run "suicide drills" like we did I guess...

Along those lines.... All of us old guys talk about how lucky kids are nowadays because they don't have 2 a days. Trust me when I tell you they work harder than we ever did and they pretty much do it year-round.

I understand where you're coming from, but they do.
Year-round conditioning/lifting. Spring practice. Summer passing leagues (7-on-7). No huddle offenses.....yeah, they work harder. By far.
