I'm pretty sure the usage is coming from my laptop and not my phone. But hell I don't use the laptop any more significantly than I ever have.

Missing you my great friend.
There may be a problem with the Verizon jet pack I've researched a lot of complaints about that lately.

Get rid of the jet pack and use your phone as a hotspot.

Call Verizon and ask them what program you have that is running none stop. My kid downloaded a program that never stopped running, even though he logged out of it, and it ran our bill up.

Thank you for your service to our nation.
You do know you can check the status of your data whenever you want, right?
FWIW...when connected to wifi your phone will not use data.

Ours seems higher also. We both just upgraded to two Galaxy 5s and data seems to be up about 33%

Called CS yesterday to up my data. They offered a 1gb free for one year, told me to try that before adding 2gb more.
Same issue here. I have never used over 2G of data until this past billing cycle. Something is up with their network. All of us having these issues is not a coincidence.
I have unlimited data and they call me every week begging me to change plans. Data transmission is cheap and they make a fortune off of plans.
I swear this thread catches my eye evertime I look at scducks. At first glance I think it says, "Venison deer sausage".

Brother I work for Windstream in engineering and data is not cheap...Trust me. Between the GigE pipes to supply and the Fiber and equipment its a losing investment if you dont have a fixed rate for the service. So I understand them wanting to get people off unlimitied data. The problem is we only really have 3 choices for cell service. Europe prob has 15. That is one avenue they are ahead of us on.
You should see the bill for 2 10G circuits from Chester to Toccoa GA. It ain't pretty. Hell, we just put new core routers in on our network, that run $20k for the chassis. Then another $30-$50k per card. It is definitely not cheap for the folks that provide the service. We charge AT&T a shitload of money each month for circuits to towers, and we are just the last mile provider.

I "had" unlimited as well. How long have you been on that plan and when was the last time you made an upgrade on your phone? I was an avid blackberry guy for years. Last summer when I upgraded to the I5 they told me that even though I was grandfathered in with unlimited data, the unlimited part didn't not transfer with upgrades. Keep you phone for as long as you can.
We have 6 phones sharing 14G.
We use WiFi at home, and anywhere we can connect.
5 of the 6 phones burn 4 G per month combined.
The other phone (eldest) has no WiFi where he is. He uses the other 10G.
Gonna boot his arse off soon. Just saying...

I have the mobile wi fi to use when Time Warner shuts off. I have 3 smart phones on my account, 2 used by the kids sharing all kinds of crap with their friends. We only hit 10 when we are out of town several times in a month. What are you looking at Lab?
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.
