Damnit, I told my wife we should wait and see what else comes on the market.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Isn't there some stink coming up about that being sold?
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

It's a shame it appears that one won't make it into the Heritage Trust.

There shouldn't be. The Wedge needs to be under private ownership.

The Wedge was given to USC as a gift. The donor, an accomplished amateur entomologist, intended that it be used as a research center into vector borne infectious disease. USC Never really had any interest in such a program, and they have been trying to sell the Wedge for years, but have faced stiff opposition at every turn. At one point it was under contract to be sold to a developer. They reneged on the contract after the story hit the press. When JAB states that the Wedge "needs" to be under private ownership, I would make the observation that a private individual has every right to donate his private property for a public purpose if that is what he wants to do, and what someone else thinks about what "needed" to happen is irrelevant. I would bet that if USC had said "sorry, but we don't intend to honor your wishes. We'll just sell the place", he'd have found another donee.

It is a beautiful place, used to go over there in the late 70's when John was the manager. Excellent duck hunting.

There are 16 lottery drawings between now and the time the bids are due.....

I don't play often, but I just might have to put a dollar in to see what happens.

If you win and buy it, I'll live in the slave quarters and cut your grass for you.

The only thing I ask is that you don't bother me anymore than is absolutely required.

    Buying it is one thing.

    Maintaining it is another.
