    Default Spring 2014

I don't honestly know what to say about this spring. It was an odd one no doubt. Turkeys just acted odd all season here at home. In GA I never heard a bird gobble past 8:30am. Overall though it was a blast and I cannot wait to do it again next year. I am going to be able to sneak one quick hunt in on Thursday but besides that I am done for the year.

Overall I hunted 17 days in 5 different states. I was able to call 20 longbeards into range, experience 11 kills, 5 of which I pulled the trigger on, and also experience 5 misses.

Here are some pictures from throughout the year. I thank the Lord every day I am out there. I truly love chasing wild turkeys and I love doing it even more with friends and family. I'm counting down the days until next year.

Great season, Will! Congrats. Did you manage to kill any in GA? The turkeys were certainly "off" this year, in my experience and from reports I got after I left GA.

Outstanding young Will. If you would youtube that TX video, I will be forever in debt. Also, a pic of your dad slamming his hat down about the trigger jerking would be nice.

I prefer not to see bubba slamming his hat any more. I was scared to approach him afterwards

I killed 1. Easiest hunt of the year for me. Roosted the bird, went the next morning, yelped three times and he lit in my lap and I killed him. Only eastern I killed.

Not to defend Will, There was a guy on the TX trip who "missed" 4 or 5...... I can't remember exactly, I was kind of ashamed to be in the same camp with him...

I didn't know if I should feel bad for him or ask for his tags.. It was ugly.

    Beautiful Will!

I wish I could breathe life back in him, if I could I'd hunt him again tomorrow. - Ben Rodgers Lee

WTF???? those are some nice guides. You miss a gobbler once, it happens, you miss a gobbler twice we practice.... you miss a bird 3 times on ONE trip I would escort you off the property.
