Thanks fellas. Got in the woods about 6:15 in hopes to try and slip down to where a bird wanted to be yesterday. Well that didn't happen. Walking back there I stepped on a limb and a bird hammers about 75 yards in front of me. So I setup camp there and can see him in the tree. He ends up flying down the other way and meets up with his buddies. Still wasn't sure if he was 1st worthy or not. About 30 minutes later I see him and 4 other Jakes coming my way. I hit the call and they all gobbled. They hung out at about 10 yards thinking they were the shit for a while then finally eased on off. Made up my mind I was gonna hunt til about 11. About 9 I start walking and calling. No luck. Wind picked up about 10:30 the wind picks up so I slip to the edge of a field to find 4 hens in it. I backed down the hill and set the decoy out. Heard a bird gobble the opposite direction of them so I got ready.Hit the call a few times and I see tail feathers. Then he tries to swing around to the right of me and strut. I purred a few likes and he heads back around in front of me. This whole time he is just on the other side of the hill from me. He tops the hill and sees the decoy and that was the end of it. Had to shoot him left handed or I would've got busted. Anyways killed my first last year and connected this morning on my first by myself. Killed at 10:46am. 17lbs 10"beard 3/4" spurs.

Good killing! Now come down here and help me kill some of these birds. Theyre like mosquito's other than the long spurs and all that damned gobbling!
