    Default Trijicon scopes

Had the day off so went to look at scopes for the new Tikka T3 I got last weekend. Right now it has a Bushnell Banner on it and want to swap it out. I picked up the Trijicon Accupoint scope that has the illuminated dot in the center. How are these for hunting situations? Price tag was $899. Believe it was a 2.5-10x56 if I recall correctly.

    Trijicon makes good shit.

I assume, since it's a 56mm beast, that the dot is small. You have to be careful with the larger MOA dots because at longer distances, they'll cover your target slap up.

You can find it lower priced than that. I put a 5X25X50 with the BAC Triangle and adjustable turrets on my 7mm08 at the end of last deer season. I sat late, very late, wife calling me late. Use the fiber optic in daylight and turn it off as it gets dark, the tritium takes over and faintly illuminates.

I still want to look through the new NF scopes coming out.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Yea it was small. However the guy said that you could turn it off.

The glass was clear but didn't know how well it does in a low light situation.

Awesome scope for the money. I can see well past dark with that scope. You can adjust the illuminated reticle to allow more or less light to illuminate it.

Took a gamble on mine. Sold one diavari to damn near fund 2 56mm trijicons. Glass is fine, will carry you past legal time on most evenings. I'm the oddball here, I prefer the unobstructed field of view with the triangle reticle. Using the tip of it gives me a very precise aiming point. Took me seeing one in person to make the decision.

You can't get a more precise aiming point than that little green dot!
I guess the little triangle work well too...

I was against it till I looked through my buddies. Luckily local shops had mildot and standard in stock, so I got to look through all 3 before ordering. Coming from using first focal plane #4 reticles it made a world of difference to me to be able to see more of my target. I just suggest trying to see what's available before dropping the coin.

Btw, the reticle is very fast! With it turned down to 2.5x it damn near throws up like a red dot on my 2 rifles.
