Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

    The fog was terribly thick..

    We whacked a few..

I witnessed a guy shoot the same bird 4 times, he never missed, the bird is probably still flying..

I got one on the way to the taxidermist. It was a bull stud hoss of a fisheater. Gonna look good as the centerpiece for thanksgiving dinner

Shells: all shapes and sizes. 2 3/4" #4's killed many stone dead. The key is to hit them in head/neck. 3" BB's and a body shot still required a water swat. These birds can tote it!

Let me tell yall bout these sons of guns.....My first oh wow was my third shot of the morning when I broke one's wing at the joint, probably 30 yards, he locked his wings and flew another 200 yards or so and eat up 4 more shells to finish him. My second "son of a" was when I came across a few tungsten BBs in the bag and stuffed one in the brisket at 15 yards. Pushed the bird backwards 2 feet so I started in on another. I never seen it hit the water. These things are tough, you gotta shoot em till they die.

We picked up 49. Two guns. They don't want you to sport around with them so the wardons will be fine as long as you are safe.

The wardens we talked to were in on it too. Shooting, rallying birds to others and helping collect downed birds. As long as you were safe and used propper methods, they encouraged a good time. They even said they had a list with every permit holders name. So if you hadnt recieved your permit yet, you were good.

I handled it pretty well. You could tattoo them with it from a ways.

    Good going guys.
