Take the green in and fan it out for him or her and see if they lied.

    I don't have a Bge.

Question: is it always a smokey flavor? Everytime I eat something off one it tastes smoked.

I hate smoke flavor on anything other than salmon...

    I got the Large BGE.

Absolutely love it, had it 6 yrs.

Next one I get may be the Primo Oval. The shape allows a little more cookin surface.

Also, I would highly recommend a BBQ Guru. It is the temperature control device that makes it cook 225 for days.

Go with the Primo Oval XL. I love mine and built a table for it. You can do so much on this thing.

I find the charcoal has a lot to do with it. Some brands half-ass it and don't cook the charcoal enough, so you get a batch with semi-raw wood, if that makes sense. Some brands are more consistent than others. I just buy what I can find.

Worth every penny. I've had mine for about 2 months now. I cook on it, on average, 3 times a week. Thing can cook up some food like it's nobody's business.

On a side note...if you do get one...Check out Wicked Good Charcoal.

Duck Tape you ever get up to Charlotte NC any?? If so you need to take the short 20 minute drive west to cramerton before you buy a BGE in Florence.

    looftlighter - $80
    electric charcoal lighter - $7

looftlighter is great if you do not cook near a power source, but the cheap charcoal lighters work just fine.

I've had mine nearly a year now.
I would not have spent the $$, but the wife did...imagine that.
I would say if you grill more then 2 times a week, you will love it. We use ours 3-4 times a week.

Its very easy to use, very efficient(cost about $1.50 to grill/ about $10 to smoke all night), and food taste awesome...
