    Default Chicken Livers and Giblets

    A buddy of mine is taking 40 yard birds for wackin.Asked me if I ever ate the above offal.I tol him to bring'm on.What would be your favoritist way of prep short of tossing them out ?Giblet gravy was a regular on the table when I was a youngster.

    Fry the livers with grits and gravy as stated above. Damn those things are good.

    Hey HS! Might try some chicken fried livers with some.Grits and gravy with some too.Although I do have some wild rice.

    They don't offer up the same variety here as they do down that way! I wonder whose leg I gotta hump to find out the 11 secret herbs and spices.

    Here you go Harv...


    — 1 teaspoon ground oregano
    — 1 teaspoon chili powder
    — 1 teaspoon ground sage
    — 1 teaspoon dried basil
    — 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
    — 1 teaspoon pepper
    — 2 teaspoons salt
    — 2 tablespoons paprika
    — 1 teaspoon onion salt
    — 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    — 2 tablespoons Accent
    Bone....

    If you are buying gizzards too, make sure you pull the lining out of them before preparing. pro-tip.
