I know of a mechanic that'll rebuild one for like $400. Prolly quicker and better off to have it rebuilt than to find another used one that prolly needs rebuilding anyway.

What neck of the woods you in?

I found a lower unit housing for a '96 Yamaha from an outfit in Canada. I'll dig around for contact info.

    Long shaft or short?

If it's long then you may be in business if G's lead don't work:

It's a short shaft, but it don't matter. I have been known to cut a shaft if I need to.
