    Default Browning B-78

Falling Block single shot in .243 NIB. I have had my eye on this style rifle for sometime now and ran across one on Gunbroker NIB. I couldn't resist since they're not in production anymore I broke down and bought it. Kinda pricey but it will be a nice addition to the .243 collection especially with the piece of walnut it has on it. I topped it this morning with a Ziess scope. To my surprise the gun came with a sealed envelope that contained Talley rings and bases. It sports a heavy 24" round barrel. This gun is just sexy.

This one won't ever be sold. I hated to sell the Ruger Mark II, but I can replace it. I lucked out on finding this gun NIB.

Got one in .30-06 that has been my usin' gun for 20 plus years. Not the best trigger ... lots of creep... but I just live with it. From the pictures yours looks like a more recent model. Not an expert on the B-78 but the ones made in the late 70's and early 80's had one pin in the receiver. The newer ones made ~ 4-5 years ago (and only for one year I belive) had two pins. The later version has a slightly different trigger and reportedly easier to work on. Both versions are good shooters. Nice gun, got me thinking about looking for another one.

That's a gorgeous gun. Be proud to have that in a safe myself.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
