Strap or strapless or is this a personal preference?

scott sabortooth, if not go with a double caliper release. Also get a strap.

In case you missed it, Scott. But I like the single caliper models, just personal preference I guess.

I have used Scott for the last 20 years.
I like a buckle wrist strap as opposed to velcro.
Another great release is Spot Hogg.
The best tip I have ever learned about a release is to buckle it to your bow handle as soon as you are done shooting. It will keep you from misplacing it.

Anything Carter. Shooting a Target 4 now. For me my accuracy improved dramatically after going to a thumb release. Only down side is not having it on your wrist ready to go. I leave it attached while in the stand.

This right here. The best release in the world does you no good sitting in your truck after you've biked 2 miles, climbed a tree, and then hauled your bow up to you. It hasn't happened to me yet only because I do what Hart said. I know. It's happened to other folk though.

    Leather buckle, not velcro strap.
