I was told by a guy in walmarts tire dept. that 15 inch rim size truck tires were being fazes out and I would have to go to 16 " or bigger rims. Any truth in this statment? Or is this just Wally world?
I had 15 in wheels on my jeep and the only thing I could find was 31's and 35's without paying for name brand bfg's or goodyears. 16" are the new 15's. Very few vehicles come with 15's anymore so I guess that's why the tire market has swayed

That's what everybody is doing. I try not to follow the crowd. I don't want to blend into the daddy's money crowd around here, that have the 20's, nittos, and their truck squatting to where it looks like they're hauling hogs.
KRT I already have a 2.5" leveling kit installed and I'm running 285/75/16's now. just wondered how much you could do a wheel/tire combo for with the federals we talked about and some rims like that?
that yota needs an add a leaf to get rid of the Carolina squat

I've got 15's and haven't had a hard time finding tires yet. It all depends on the shop you go to. I believe they probably are trying to phase them out, but there are too many vehicles on the road still rolling on them to phase them out yet. It's really dependant on the management of the shop even if it's a chain place.
Example: Was quote shopping recently and checked out three different Firestones and Costco in Charleston asking about either Firestone (crappy tire, I know) or Bridgestone AT's. West Ashley wouldn't hardly sell me an AT tire for 15. He kept pushin a road tire. I told him multiple times he was about to lose my business. I walked out the door with him chasing after me with a written quote for... you guessed it, a road tire. Firestone on James Island tried to convince me I didn't want what I said I wanted, but they would do the best they could to get the tires I wanted. Firestone in Mt. Pleasant (where I bought my last set of tires 3.5 years and 65,000 miles ago) was awesome. They recommended I go a tad wider when I told them I drive on and off the beach. Costco could order whatever I wanted, but I would have to wait a couple weeks. All told, every quote was between $604 and $620. A bit much for the Firestones, but decent for the Bridgestones.
I would up not going with either of them and instead got a set of BFG Rugged Terrains and love them. I'm in Charleston, so I wasn't able to go to KRT. If I had been able to, you better believe I would have gone to KRT. The price I got was awesome, but being able to PM your tire guy is priceless.

Common sense is not a gift. It's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone else who doesn't have it.
Mello, Discount tire is the only people I know that sipe tires.
