    Bufflehead, Common Goldeneye and Barrow's Goldeneye are all three members of the genus Bucephala so they are closely related and they all three nest in tree cavities.

    All I have to add is I love to see about 20 or so on the deck flying into the decoys.... A certain stretch of the Columbia River in WA comes to mind....
