.177 or .22?

I've got that same gun in .22 and need a seal kit for it.

.177 This pellet rifle is the third one I got from Daisy. Their quality control has gone to SHIT!!! I sent two back that would not hit a beer can 5 out of 10 times at 20 steps, pieces a shit. This 880 is a custom job, hand assemblled by employee #8894, with a factory shot target.... needless to say don't buy your kids a Daisy to learn to shoot with.

The one I have is the one I learned to shoot with 25+ years ago. It said to pump it no more than 10 times and I used to quit counting at 30. Guess that's why it needs a seal kit.

It was pretty damned accurate and that .22 would thump the hell outta a squirrel.

White Jones used to have a guy that would come pick them up there and repair them and bring them back. I need to see if they still offer the service.

...and they are expensive - for toys.

Mine just needs a resurrection. I'm fundamentally opposed to having a toy w/a working scope anyway...

agree... but when you live in a city like me and you cant shoot even a .22 , a high powereded pellet gun is a nice alternative.

SM,
Get you a Benjamin pellet rifle. I shot one for years, so did my dad, I got my son one and he shot it for years, and I also bought my grandson one.

Man I used to could shoot a slingshot too. My dad always made them for me from a fork cut out of a dogwood tree and pieces of inner tube! Inner tube don't stretch no more though, gotta us that surgical tubing now. I have killed more than one squirrel with a slingshot, killed a couple of rabbits I'd bedded also.

Dad used to bring home bags of steel ball bearing from work! I kept them in my mouth ready to quick reload after every shot.

I remember when I was about 8 yrs old I swallowed 7 of them ball bearings. I know exactly how many cause I had to crap in a bucket (bedpan or as we called them slopjars) so momma could look for them till they all come out! That was a might embarrassing!

“… duckhunting stands alone as an outdoor discipline. It has a tang and spirit shared by no other sport—a philosophy compounded of sleet, the winnow of unseen wings, and the reeks of marsh mud and wet wool. No other sport has so many theories, legends, casehardened disciples and treasured memories.”
