Long fight. Earned this one! My Dad is 71 and was his tag. He got a good for his first. Was on of the most enjoyable days of hunting for anything with my Dad in a long time. Was really good to see the old man batteling this big boy!

we filled two tags today. One 11 foot and one 12'2" Good killing. Its amazing how much bigger a 1 foot length makes in a gator

Congratulations. Thank the Lord for parents that are still getting it done. You and your dad are both blessed.

So i fried up some gator tail this evening off this big boy. Was pretty good. Some pieces were a little chewy. I may have cooked a few pieces a little to long. Anyone got any tips for cooking gator?

Cover in cornmeal mixed with salt and pepper. Fry it for 4 minutes at most. It gets tough easily. Tail meat is my favorite.

    NICE job on the gator!

thats basically what i did. Maybe just the ones i cooked a little to long were the tuff ones. But when i say cooked to long they may have been on the pan a minute or two longer than the others

Why is it that no one smiles for pictures anymore? All I see is two dead stares, one look of befuddlement, and an old man that looks pissed off. I understand the "stay hard" look, just sayin if it was me I'd at least have a grin.

    Nice gator.
