this has gotta be an alias, no way someone new to duck hunting is actually trying to get birds to decoy, hell there's hundreds of professionals at willtown every weekend that aint never seen one decoy.

Good on you for doing it the right way, and yes, it can and still is done that way, just not close to rubberheads.

Decoys in SC are used to hold your pass shooting spot.

There's more truth to that statement than most folks are willing to admit.....

Hey I'm fairly new to the public duck hunting scene and have had limited success shooting ducks feet down. I don't even try to pass shoot birds because I don't enjoy it, and to me it defeats the purpose of duck hunting and throwing out decoys in general. I was just curious if ya'll shoot decoying birds on public waters. I want to hear "yes" so I don't give up.

People dont realize that if you give them a chance, birds will land on any public big river. Thats all I hunt mostly and I dont pull the trigger unless they have committed to my spread. Fact

I don't care how long you been hunting or how much pride you have or whatever. Everybody pass shoots now and then. Let a pintail pass over close enough to identify and see these so called "non pass shooters" unload. Fact.
