2 guns, 2 mallards, one of was SCWA tamie, damdest thing-- headed back to the hill, see what looks like a stray decoy, motor right past it- it starts quackin like hell at us from about 9 feet away as we swamp it with our wake, duck jumps up off water flies about 20 feet and then back down and starts quackin more and swimming towards us, by this time the Benelli was loaded, and the lips were about to be shot off it, 2 woodducks also, which are trophies compared to the tamie. That duck must have thought we had some corn in the boat.

Hunted Great Pee Dee somewhere between the rocks and tidewater. Didn't see as many as the cold weather had led me to believe we would. Three shots - one drake woodie and a hen tamie. Passed on several opportunities to take a bonus merganser. (Didn't have the dog with me!) Will probably follow the tail end of the high water toward the coast in the next few days.

Lake Murray is the GREAT Rubberhead attraction! You better get use to it. Or, quit hunting on Lake Murray like everyone else hunts Lake Murray. Get a Layout Boat! Then the coots will really swim in close!!! You may even get your limit.

12/18 private swamp near Cordesville. 2 woodies and nothing else flying. Changed clothes and did a couple of dog drives total for the day 1 doe and 2 bucks(for the group of 10). No size all swamp dear. Not a bad day shooting a duck and a buck.
